This guide would help you get started with the dashboard if you do not have a real drone. The virtual drone feature is also helpful when you want to simulate your mission before executing it. To use this feature, you will have to first enable the Virtual Drone in your FlytBase account before adding it to your FlytNow Dashboard.
Login to your FlytBase account. You will be taken to the dashboard.
To activate your cloud API subscription, click on the Cloud tab on the left side menu. You will be asked to fill up a request form. Fill the form and submit, and you will be granted beta access.
Click on My Devices and you will see a Virtual Drone button that will let you add a virtual device.
Click on add Virtual Device. A virtual drone will be added to your My Device section.
Under Options, click on the play button to start the drone simulation. Now click on the rocket icon next to the play button.
Click on Take me there. In a new window, you will be asked to generate an access token.
In the new page, click on the Generate access token button. Once the acess token is generated, toggle the Access Status to ON.
You can add your Virtual Drone to your FlytNow Dashboard three methods:
Method 1: Log in to app.flytnow.com with your FlytBase credentials. You will be asked to agree to our terms and conditions. In the Select a drone to Add dialog box, you will see the Virtual Drone option. Select the option and click Add Drone.
Method 2: You can also add the Virtual drone from the FlytNow Dashboard if you decide to skip the window. Under the FLY tab, click on Add Drone. In the dialog that opens, you will see your Virtual Drone. Select the Drone and click Add.
Method 3: You can also add a Virtual Drone using its vehicle ID and access token if you select the Manual tab from the Add Drone dialog box. You can get the vehicle ID and access token from your FlytBase account.
